FAQs
What age can my child start music lessons?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but we generally recommend starting around 7 years old for most instruments. That said, older children, teenagers and adults are very welcome too. If you’re not sure whether your child is ready, get in touch and we’ll be happy to advise.
Do you offer lessons for adults?
Absolutely! You’re never too old to learn an instrument. Whether you’re a complete beginner, picking up an instrument again after years away, or looking to improve your skills, we have lessons to suit all levels.
What instruments can I learn?
We offer lessons across a wide range of instruments, including guitar, bass guitar, piano, drums, violin and more. If there’s a particular instrument you’re interested in, just ask and we can let you know what’s available.
Do I need to own my own instrument?
Not necessarily. We have instruments available for students to use during lessons, but regular practice at home is important, so we can also advise you on choosing an instrument that suits your age, level and budget.
Do I need any previous musical experience?
Not at all. Many of our students start from scratch. Our teachers tailor lessons to each student’s ability, so beginners can learn at their own pace while more experienced musicians can be challenged and encouraged to progress.
Can I choose the music I learn?
Where possible, absolutely. We believe students learn best when they’re excited about what they’re playing. Our teachers balance songs and music students love with exercises that help develop their technique and musical skills.
Can I change my lesson time?
We’ll always do our best to accommodate changes where possible. Lesson times are subject to teacher availability, so we recommend speaking to us as soon as you know you need to make a change.
What happens if I miss a lesson?
We understand that life happens! We will try our best to reschedule any missed lessons. Our cancellation and missed-lesson policy will depend on the type of lesson and notice given. Please call us for details.
Do you sell instruments and music equipment?
Yes! As well as teaching music, we can help you find the right instrument, accessories and equipment. If you’re not sure what you need, our team can point you in the right direction.
